Rokeya has two elder brothers who are studying in colleges at undergraduate (Bachelors) level. With the income they have, it is difficult for her parents to bear educational expenses of 3 children. Therefore, Rokeya was very happy to receive the GreenSpot support (BDT 1,500.00) for her SSC examination. She said that the scholarship would encourage her to be more attentive to her studies and it would also encourage her parents to let her undergo higher studies after SSC. Nurun Nahar, born on 11 October 1993, will appear in SSC examination in February 2009. Her father, Nurul Islam, is a small farmer and her mother, Rabeya Sultana, is a housewife. Nurun Nahar, who aims to be a High School teacher, was happy to receive the GreenSpot scholarship (BDT 1,500.00). A high (4.04) scorer in the SSC Test exam, Nurun Nahar said “I am proud to achieve the scholarship in recognition of my good results. It will encourage me to be more diligent in studies for good results in SSC Exam.”

Rinkumala, born on 14 January 1994, will appear in SSC examination in February 2009. Her father, Shahidul Islam, is a landless agricultural laborer and her mother, Halima Begum, is a housewife. She has a younger brother, who is studying in a Primary School. With a meager monthly income of BDT 2,000.00, it is very difficult for her parents to meet their essential family expenses, including educational expenses of 2 children. Receiving the GreenSpot scholarship (BDT 1,500.00), Rinkumala said “I am very happy to receive the support. I shall be more attentive to my studies to do good result in SSC examination. My study parents will also be happy and they will be motivated to send to College after I pass SSC”. Rinkumala aims to be a journalist.

Jahanara Khatun, born on 9 February 1994, will appear in SSC examination in February 2009. Her father, Monsur Ali, is a small farmer and her mother, Nurjahan Khatun, is a housewife. She has a younger brother, who is studying in a Primary School.
